I love the Lord Jesus Christ, and I love the Anglican Communion. So, why did the bishops of the Church of Uganda and I decide not to attend the present Lambeth Conference? Because we love the Lord Jesus Christ and because we love the Anglican Communion.
St Francis of Assisi said: “Preach the gospel at all times; when necessary use words.” We believe that our absence at this Lambeth Conference is the only way that our voice will be heard. For more than ten years we have been speaking and have not been heard. So maybe our absence will speak louder than our words.
The crisis in the Communion is serious; our commitment to biblical and historic faith and mission are serious; and we want to be taken seriously.
From here
Orombi is one of the bishops "boycotting" the current Lambeth Conference.
UPDATE: just came across a bit of an interview sort of article with Archbishop Fred Hiltz at the Church Times blog
UPDATE # 2 And another interview with Fred Hiltz (by George Westhaver) published here
Henry Orombi - like his fellow travelers in Nigeria, Kenya and Rwanda - has marginalized himself. Like Akinola of Nigeria, he has only been able to maintain his national boycott by means of intimidation and threat.
Real conservatives like Ian Ernest of the Indian Ocean will not be impressed with this media ambush. Just like when they imposed themselves on the conservative primate and bishop in Jerusalem for their conference, we see the GAFCON primates yet again alienating even those conservatives who agree with them on the presenting issue.

Your comments are always so utterly predictable, Malcolm. As is my sadness on reading them.

Perhaps we could set up an indaba group? :^)

My comments are no more predictable than those of Henry Orombi and the rest of the usual suspects who have constantly been attempting t disrupt the Lambeth Conference with a series of co-ordinated drive-by rantings.
Henry, Peter et al are not conservatives in any meaningful sense of the word. They seek not to conserve but to destroy.
The Telegraph (no leftwing paper that) was quite correct in describing Orombi's tantrum as childish.
