Awesome... glad to hear of another Edmontonian that bikes in the several inches. Had my cyclocross bike out a couple days ago.. oooo too much fun! Gotta haul out my mountain bike to the trails soon.

I just took my front tire in to get studded. I find that helps me not slide under cars in the snow and ice!

I think it just requires a little bit of extra planning time to do a commute, and then just have the right gear. That, and breaking my addiction to driving everywhere... you know, it actually feels good...
