Since I'm getting a few visitors regarding the Canadian Blog Awards polling site, I thought I would throw out a bit of the best and worst of felix hominum so you can get a flavour of who I am and what I blog about.
- how i resolved the ID - Evolution debate (light)
- Liturgy for the Blessing of a Mini Van (light, except for the Liturgists)
- some elementary Hooker on the Sacraments (medium)
- how a word dies: "inclusive" (heavy)
- the public tragedy of genetic testing & abortion (heavy)
- have your kids ever caught you at it? (light)
I'm the Anglican Chaplain at the University of Alberta. I'm into the Book of Common Prayer for my personal prayer life, though at sol cafe there is a different flavor. I write what I hope is the response Jesus calls me to on a variety of issues. I am married to Mrs. Felix. We have four kids, one of whom lives with Down Syndrome. Here's a little article I wrote for the Anglican Planet. I am interested in spirituality of the intellectually disabled. I do some stuff with L'arche. I like biking whan it's -25. I believe Jesus calls us to follow and worship Him.
Now you know. A bit.
You can VOTE HERE. "felix hominum" is listed in the "best religious blogs" - category 12, choose and scroll down to submit your vote. And remember you may vote once per day until December 1.
Can we get a few votes in a common cause anglican blogburst? I think we CaNN, TTLB lists us as giving 31 links there, so I'm hoping for 31 CaNN readers to give me a vote! Note to our American friends: you won't jeopardize your citizenship if you vote in this foreign poll. So take 30 seconds out of your browsing time, and thanks. Update: I think we're starting to catch up to the Universalist Life Church blog - we need your vote, every day! Tell your friends! Insert a petition at Mattins!
ps - happy Binks-day ("let the reader understand").
Yes, but what does it mean?

"42"
it's the answer to everything... on the other hand, it's sort of like a chance to give me an ordination anniversary present (St Andrew's Day). Besides, surely a guy who prays with the BCP can catch up to last year's winners...
