Yes, can I (AM) help you?
I'd like to exchange this.
What's the matter with it?
This thing you gave me for Christmas. It's just not exactly what I want. I tried it on, but it's not comfortable.
You sort of have to keep it on for a while. It's kind of like new shoes, but it works the opposite way: you have to soften up and mold to it, not the other way around.
Can I get a refund?
You didn't pay for it in the first place.
Are there other models?
No, just this one.
Can I put it away until next Christmas?
You are free to do as you like with it.
I'm just not sure how practical it will be. I don't have a lot of space left for stuff this this.
You could always make room; get rid of some of the extra things, and then you'll have space.
Well, thanks anyway, I have to be going.
Come back any time. I (AM) will be here.
Yeah, a lot of people don't know that 'Boxing Day' isn't about boxing up gifts that don't fit and taking them back. It was a tradition in the old country centuries ago for the well-to-do to put out behind their houses boxes of food and other good stuff for the poor on the day after Christmas. This makes 'Good King Wenceslas' even more apropos for the day.
A blessed Christmas, Joe, to you and yours.

I always thought it was the holiday where we give Jesus back to God to keep him safe until we need him again...!
