In a few weeks we are getting together for a retreat that will go by the general name of "Vocare". We hope to listen and explore God's call on our lives. The more I reflect on this, the more I am beginning to think that it is not so much an issue of hearing and discerning God's call, but the courage to act on it.
I totally agree with you from my own journey I would also add obedience and a hand grasping that mustard seed of faith. I know the background noise in our lives, that it can make the call like a bad telephone connection. I can convince myself " no " I don't think thats what I heard, your going to have to speak up Lord.Blessings on your retreat...and above all just enjoy " presence "...with one another...and with Him.

Ron - yes I would agree. Now that you mention those apsects, it is a bit of a "package deal", I find I need faith to move forward in obedience, and courage to "get out the boat" when asked to do so. All of which I find supplied by Him, and never by me... And thanks for your thoughts on our upcoming retreat.
