I am looking to get the word "HOPE" translated into hebrew for a tattoo would you please help me.

    joseph

Char - I'll have to defer to Tyler over at Codex for that one. We have annointed him the expert on the whole Hebrew tattoo thing. And I think he should get a little parlour happening on campus for just this sort of thing...

    Tiffany

I want to get a hewbrew tattoo of the biblical verse in song of songs chapter 6 v 3 that says "I am my beloved's and he is mine" or "I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine" Can you help me because I am freaked out that it wont get translated correctly. It is going to go vertical on my side.

    Tiffany

    joseph

Tiffany - I'll try to get back to you sometime next week - I'm wrapped up in a conference for a few days.

    Kimberly

I am looking for the same thing as Tiffany! Could you send me your response to her? I would like to have the same passage, preferably in ancient Hebrew, as a tattoo.

Look forward to hearing from you,

    Kimberly

    Leslie

Joe, I have to teach junior high Math on Friday and I need "Repent for the Kingdom of God is at Hand" tattooed across my forehead.

    :)

    joseph

leslie: perhaps a sign over the door from Dante's Inferno: "abandon all hope, you that enter here"

    Leslie

You would do well in public school, Joe.

    Art

I was wanting to know "My beloveds mine and I am My beloved" also, or gender specific. "My beloved is mine and I am His/Hers" Thank you so much I really don't want to get the spelling wrong.

    Art

In Hebrew like David Becham's Tattoo.

    Kathryn

I am also looking to have "I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine" tatooed. I want it on the inside of my right foot, but before my wedding. Could you please help me? I also don't want it to look mechanical, so any tips i could pass along to the tatoo artist would be great!
    Thanks so much!

    Paige

My husband is deploying in January and I too am looking for the ever popular "I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine" to get tattood in Hebrew, the tattoo will be vertical.

    Thank You!
    Paige

    Em

I would like either: My beloved is mine and I am his. Song of Songs 2:16 (incl. ref) or I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine. Song of Songs 6:3 (incl. ref) !? Can you please help ??
    xo

    Leslie

If I one day succumb to too much tormenting tattoo temptation, it'll be all felix hominum's fault, for I neither felt fixation nor fetish for all these ancient verticulars until I knew of the widespread risks of inauthentic Hebrew tattoo fakery. The perfectionist in me lives dangerously.

    Help me, Hominum.

    Desiree

    Hi there

im wanting the name La'Shae Honey in Arabic or preferably in ancient Hebrew

    can you help me please..

    Jessica

אהבה אחת What does this mean... and is it possible to write hebrew vertically and how so?

    Megan

    Hi there!

Like several of the others, I too am looking for the Hebrew translation of Song of Songs 2:16 "My beloved is mine and I am his" for a tattoo...
If anyone could help and send me the translation that would be wonderful!
    Thx so much!

    Meg

    Sasha

I too, much like many others are looking for "My beloved is mine and I am his." I am looking for a translation and was wondering if you could help me out.
    Please and Thank you,
    Sasha

    Bithiah

I too want the "i am my beloved's, my beloved is mine" translation. I was also wondering what the translation of my name would be. I know it's in Hebrew- she was pharoah's daughter that adopted Moses. If you could help me out with these two translations I would greatly appreciate it!

    Lenora

    Hi all,

My greatgrandmother passed and I wanted to get "Rest in Peace Nana" in Hebrew. Can anyone help with the correct translation??

    Much appreciated!!

    Stephanie

Well it seems as though my "original" idea is not so original after all. I too am looking for a translation (without vowels) of I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine. I am acually getting it done tomorrow so I will be actively searching but in the mean time I thought it couldnt hurt to see if someone could give me a definative answer. Thank you for taking time to read this even if it is too late.

    Steph

    Theresa

Can you do a vertical translation of Psalm 27:10? If not, can you recommend someone who can? I thought I posted this yesterday, but I must have exited before I pressed post.

    Thanks. - Theresa

    Leslie

I'm teaching junior high again tomorrow, Joseph, and I haven't heard from you about the Hebrew rendering of Dante's Inferno, yet.

    If you would...

    joseph

Leslie, I'll have it ready before the first spitball...

    Rena

    jesmyne

please can you help me i would love the hebrew i am my beloved and my beloved is mine done in the back down of my neck like victoria beckham ....i just want to make sure they spell it correctly and have the words in the right order can you help me please ?
    thanks

    Alice the Camel

Perhaps "what's mine is mine and what is my beloved's is mine" is more practical...

Camels carefully avoid beloveds so I could be wrong, but from a lifetime of human observation it might be a tattoo "with legs" as they say in the news biz. Kinda.

    joseph

Alice - I'm thinking of giving up the day job and focusing completely on the tattoo business.

    Thalia

I've decided to get a tattoo. I would like the ancient hebrew translation for the following, using only consonants:

"I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies. Song of Solomon 6:3."

    and

"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Psalm 23:4"

    Thank you

    Alice the Camel

    Clearly there's money in it.

    Joanna

    Hi,
just wondering if you can help. I can not find correct hebrew translation. I am wanting the tatoo 'we're in heaven' down my neck- victoria beckham style! I realise it may have to read 'we are in heaven' rather than'we,re'. would this be able to be done vertically.

    many thanks Jo

    magdalena dk

hello there.. can you help me with translate i am my beloveds and my beloved is mine, just like Victoria B.
    thank you very much.

    Danielle

    Hi,
I want a tattoo also reading vertically saying something like "rest in peace grandfather" in ancient hebrew. can you help me out with the correct spelling etc so i can just print it and bring it to the tattoo studio please.

    Amber

I am looking to get a portion of Hillel's "If I am not for myself who will be for me? Yet, if I am for myself only, what am I? And if not now, when?" tattooed on my wrist but, of course, there are space constraints and I must choose which portion. I have the Hebrew translation but don't know where to make the appropriate divisions. The portion I want is "If I am for myself only, what am I?" I've found אם אין אני לי מי לי -- which is torn exactly from the full Hebrew text I have but was translated as "If I am not me, who will be me?" I assume it actually corresponds with the "If I am not for myself..." portion of the text, but this is not the sentiment I am hoping for

The Hebrew for the entire quote I found on yarzheit.com and follows:
הוא היה אומר אם אין אני לי מי לי וכשאני לעצמי מה אני ואם לא עכשיו אימתי

I would just like to know what text section to pull for "If I am for myself only, what am I?" Thanks in advance for any help.

     Lisa

I am looking to maybe get my sons name in hebrew if I can. But I cant seem to find anything online maybe you could please help me His name is(aidan)or AIDAN! Thanks

    Lisa-Marie

    Hi there,
I want to get a hewbrew tattoo of the biblical verse in song of songs chapter 6 v 3 that says "I am my beloved's and he is mine" or "I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine" Can you help me because I really dont want it to get translated incorrectly. Could you please show me how it needs to be written vertically.

Thank you in advance for your help

    Lisa-Marie

Is it at all possible to translate: "his love the essence of my life, my life the essence of his soul"
    ???

    alex

Felix, can you help me out? I really want a tattoo of "I was made to love and be loved by you" - from TobyMac. But in Paleo-hebraic. With translations in Aramaic and simplified Chinese underneath. Of course, it would need to two translations - the other being "I was made to leather and be leathered by you" (as per post). Hmm, not the most exciting of translations but could be taken different ways. Of course, since the original quote is about us being made for God, it would be taken as leather being used as a disciplinary device (say, a whip). Leading to the translation "I was made to be disciplined by you and used by you for disciplining." Is TobyMac secretly ascetic? I think I'll petition the pope to have a new monastic order named after DC Talk - with a focus on using rap music to lead people into a life of denying pop culture.

    joseph

Sure alex, but you'll need to use all four artists at Bear's Skin Art
Although they aren't too far from your house...

    Leslie

I am trying to balance books for a not-for-profit organization and am wondering if the Ancient Hebrew texts have the answer to why I'm missing $162.29. I've been chasing it for 2 days and it pops up here and there in variant forms, but the bottom line is if you could lay out vertically a line of numbers as they should read translated from English to the Ancient Hebrew the answer to my current life's problems I would happily tattoo them on my arm as a testament to the gift of liberty you'd be handing me by getting me out of this pinch.

The annual meeting is Wednesday afternoon. I'll have to have an audit done by Tuesday. Family Day is Monday. You get my drift...

    Martine
